FM110 Serenely Green

Today on the Friday Mashup, Holly is challenging us with a monochromatic project and baker's twine.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using "A Monochromatic Color Scheme".
  2. Create a project "using Baker's Twine".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "Monochromatic project using some Baker's Twine".
Since May's birthstone is emerald, I decided to go with a green palette.

I had full intentions of stamping my images in darkest green (Always Artichoke) for a true monochromatic card, and then the card was done, and no Always Artichoke.  How did that happen?  It was as if the card made itself, and I had no say.  Oops!

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes, Perfectly Penned; Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White; Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Pear Pizzazz, Gumball Green, Black Stazon; Accessories: Lucky Limeade baker's twine, Brayer, Post-it notes, Dimensionals.

Edit to add: I've put together a video for this card here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful! I love the brayered green. Gotta love when cards make themselves ;)

This is beautiful. Could you briefly share how you used the brayer to do the greens? Thanks!

Did you brayer the green background?

Ha, ha, ha - don't ya just love when cards make themselves.....even when they go off track from what you had in mind. This is beautiful. I love the brayering and how the greeting overlaps.

Beautiful card Heidi! I love the band in different shades of green, and the flowers on top are just perfect.
Hugs ;)
