I was thinking about what to title this card... blue suede boots or sh**-kickers. Well, that's what we used to call our boots when we were kids. The picture immediately reminded me of the boots I saw when we were in San Antonio for the Leadership Conference last January.
Not blue, but nevertheless, eye-catching. I also realized that I have purple western boots, and I so should have worn them to San Antonio. Silly me!
The layout was taken from the Stampin' Up catalog, directly from a sample for this set. Now, did I fall in love with this set because of the sample, the layout, the colors? Hard to tell, but I couldn't resist recreating it with the challenge's colors. I used the polished stone technique on the boots.
Stamps: Bootiful Occasions; Paper: Summer Starfruit, Tempting Turquoise, Glossy White, Whisper White, Houndstooth & Scaringbone DSP; Ink: Black Stazon, Tempting Turquoise reinker, Soft Suede reinker; Accessories: Brights button, White baker's twine, 2-1/2 Circle punch, Corner Rounder punch, Chevron EF, Big Shot, Dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by!

What a gorgeous card! I love the simplicity and the way your used the technique for your blue boots. Lovely :) I came home with a gorgeous pair of boots form Leadership ... for my 17 yr old DD though, I'm way too old to rock the shit-kickers!!! LOL.
Super cute! I REALLY wish I had that stamp set now! lol! Thanks for joining us for a second time this month at Stampin' Celebration. I always love seeing your creations!!
Every time I see this card it catches my eye, I just love it! I myself had a pair of tan suede 3" heeled boots with those silver medallion thingies and suede fringe tied through them. Loved those boots, I could run up and down bleachers in them even, when I was a teenager..
Oh, How fun! I love the technique on the boots! Thanks for playing again! :)
Awesome card! Great combination of simple yet stunning elements. I love those boots too! Thanks so much for playing (again!) at Stampin' Celebration!
