FM63 Piecing with Colors

This is Tara's first challenge as a design team member at the Friday Mashup, and she brings us a technique and color combo.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project using the " Paper Piecing " technique.
  2. Or Make a project using " Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight & Pool Party ".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a " Paper Piecing Project using the above colors."

I love paper piecing, and the color combo in the photo is great, but for some reason, the mashup of the two gave me all sorts of trouble.  After much thought, and searching around for inspiration, here's what I came up with.

I would say it is closer to paper tole than paper piecing, but it passes, IMO.  I used the reinker spreader technique for the flower.

For this challenge I used Retro Sketch #14.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Itty Bitty Banners; Paper: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Whisper White, Shimmery White, Floral District DSP; Ink: Pool Party, Black Stazon, Daffodil Delight reinker;  Accessories: Corner Rounder punch, Aquapainter, Framed Tulips EF, Little Leaves die, Bitty Banners framelits, Big Shot, Sewing machine, Thread, Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love this, Heidi! All that dimension on the flower is stunning to say the least!

Very pretty layered flower! The embossing around the edge of your card is the perfect finishing touch - vey elegant.
