I tell you, I'm doing a miserable job with Christmas this year. I'm only creating what I really have to, and still digging in my heels otherwise. Could I still be burned out from too much Christmas creating last year?? I needed a break to whip up a birthday card. I figured those with December birthdays might be sick of getting Christmas-themed cards for the birthday too.
I was surfing around for some inspiration, and I found this beautiful card by Mona Pendleton. I'm sure it was so eye-catching to me because of the colors. So I grabbed my Springtime Vintage paper and attempted a recreation.
Stamps: Something to Celebrate; Paper: Rose Red, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Springtime Vintage DSP, Newsprint DSP; Ink: Rose Red, Crumb Cake; Accessories: Glimmer brad, Button, White baker's twine, Vanilla seam binding, Sponge, Crimper, Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch, Swirl Scribbles die, Petal Cone die, Big Shot, Sewing machine, Thread.
Thanks for stopping by!

Awesome! Love how you used the Plum paper to imitate the basket weave for the cupcake paper. A really elegant card.
