Summer Fun

I bought the Lazy Days Stampin' Around wheel when it was on the clearance rack. I thought it would be great to pair it up with the Sweet Scoops set for a fun summer birthday card.

I stamped the wheel in Early Espresso and paper pieced the graphics onto my wheeled strip. The Island Oasis DSP gives a nice ice cream shoppe feel, and the ice cream is created using the "kissing" technique.

Stamps: Sweet Scoops, Lazy Days wheel; Paper: Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Whisper White, So Saffron, Rose Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Island Oasis DSP; Ink: Early Espresso, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red; Accessories: Pretty in Pink button, Linen thread, Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Super cute! I have that wheel, but I hadn't thought about using it with that set. The got together perfectly! I may have to CASE this idea! :)

I'm with Marla, I kind of forgot I had that wheel and I love the way you colored certain items, it really showcases it! The paper too with the ice cream stamp all "scream" summer! Lovely!

I love that you used a retired wheel with this set. I have been looking at this wheel lately trying to figure out if I should use it, even though it is retired. You have made the decision for me, thank you for that.

This is such a great card, and I love the two sets together.
