When I saw this month's Stampin' Success (the Stampin' Up magazine for demonstrators), I had to have the new set from the Summer mini, Tropical Party. The fabulous Jackie Topa created the cutest card! Here's my take on it.
The sun was created by using So Saffron ink and a sponge dauber in a circle mask. The sand is Sahara Sand cardstock, with torn edges, and stamped with Itty Bitty Backgrounds (a retiring stamp set). And the seagulls are just drawn in with a Brocade Blue marker.
Another view - you can see the texture on the top Bashful Blue cardstock layer.
The inside and outside edges of the Bashful Blue cardstock was sponged with Night of Navy.
Stamps: Tropical Party, Itty Bitty Backgrounds (retiring); Paper: Garden Green, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla; Ink: Night of Navy, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip marker, Real Red marker, Brocade Blue marker; Accessories: Blender pen, Hemp twine, Sponges, Sponge dauber, Kit #4 texturz plate, Topnote die, Big Shot, Tombo multipurpose glue.
Thanks for stopping by!

Heidi I LOVE these, especially the top one with the saffron sky! It totally brings the card to life! The top note frames it so nicely. Awesome card!
