A Spring Picnic Parade

The Occasions mini has the cutest little hostess set in it - Picnic Parade. I saw these animals, and it reminded me of Richard Scarry characters, which I loved as a child, and my daughter adores now.

I simply used the same layout for my main panel as in the mini, blatently copying the colors and all. Why reinvent the wheel, right? And my challenge for the day was to use the DSP which was a boo-boo from the previous night. I had such fun coloring these animals with my aquapainter! This one is a birthday card for a friend who loves little cartoony animal stamps.

Stamps: Picnic Parade, Sanded; Paper: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Whisper White, Dusty Durango DSP; Ink: Stazon, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Real Red, Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Real Red marker, Old Olive marker; Accessories: Aquapainter, Neutrals Watercolor Crayons, Circle punch, brads, Dusty Durango grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Super cute! They do look like RS characters. Your coloring is fabulous. I avoid these images, because of all the coloring. But you make it sound so fun!
