The Stamp Review Crew: Playful Pals
Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop! We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday. This week we take a look at a fun, cartoony kid-type set, Playful Pals, which coordinates with the Pyramid Pals thinlits to create some fun three-dimensional animals. If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the amazing Betty Traciak's blog. Her projects are always awesome!
There are many cute animals that can be made with this stamp set. How about something a little less traditional? A Pikachu! My son was wild about Pikachu probably 20 years ago now. "I choose you, Pikachu." This ensemble would be great for fun party invitations and favors.
I stamped his head and forefeet in Daffodil Delight ink using the roundish head outline and elephant trunk stamps. The feet were die-cut using bunny ears and then stamped in Tuxedo Black with the whisker stamp. The pokeball was put together using the larger eyeball stamp. Of course the Pyramid Pikachu also has to have a crazy lightening bolt tail, created by sketching on card stock.
Stamps: Playful Pals; Paper: Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Tip Top Taupe, Early Espresso, Basic Black, Whisper White; Ink: Daffodil Delight, Tip Top Taupe, Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker; Accessories: Circle Punches, Sponge, Pyramid Pals Thinlits, Starburst Thinlit, Big Shot.
Up next is the very talented Bruno Bertucci. Let's check out what fun projects he has put together with this week's stamp set.
