FM217 Where's the Dinosaurs?

Cynthia has a fun sketch for this week's Friday Mashup!

Ok, I have a confession to make... I make poopy cards!  My stamping has been down in the dumps, and I think part of it is because I am just not happy with any cards I am making.  I have an idea, high hopes, and proceed to make the elements of my card.  As soon as everything is glued down, blam, I hate it.  Every time lately.  I'm hoping by coming clean my demons will go away.

Ok, on to this week's card.  This one is my daughter's inspiration, her kind of sense of humor.

Now I notice the challenge says "pets" and I used "animals".  Eh, they'll probably let it slide.  I used March's Paper Pumpkin kit as a template for the speech bubble.

This weeks Mashup Challenge is:

  • Create a project with "the Sketch"
  • Create a project with "Pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.)"
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project with "Pets using the Sketch".
Stamps: No Bones About It, Tropical Party; Paper: Very Vanilla, Bohemian DSP; Ink: Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Sewing machine, Thread.

FM214 Sweet Watermelon

Today's Friday Mashup challenge comes from Breelin, summer picnics and sunshine!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #274 intrigued me, so I thought I would give it a try.

I attempted some color gradient on the watermelon by moving diluted Watermelon Wonder ink around on watercolor paper, but I didn't quite achieve what I wanted.

This weeks Mashup Challenge is:

  • Create a project with "a Summer Picnic theme".
  • Create a project with "Sunshine".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project with " a Summer Picnic and Sunshine theme".
Paper: Cucumber Crush, Basic Black, Whisper White, Subtles Collection DSP, Cherry on Top DSP, Watercolor paper; Ink: Watermelon Wonder; Accessories: Silver Sequin Trim, Banner Triple punch, Tree Builder punch, Circle punches, Watercolor brush Dimensionals.

PLxSU Trio #16: Stars

Hey, look at me!  Another page!  With the kiddo's swimming and summer camping, I am super pressed for time.  I have found creating digitally to be the quickest way to get out some creativity.

This week's PLxSU Trio challenge called for stars on July 4th pages.  I used Moments Like These and Seasonal Snapshots digital PL kits.  There's also several elements from Outdoor Exploration digital kit.

Don't forget about the bonus savings on the Clearance Rack and Weekly Deals, through August 3. Save up to 30% on even more Weekly Deals or up to 60% on extra items in the Clearance Rack.

PLxSU Trio #15: Calendar Pocket Card

Hey look, I made something!  I haven't cracked open MDS in a while, and it was really time.

This page is for the Facebook group PLxSU Trio, Challenge #15 Use a Calendar.  I used the newly released Project Life digital kit, Moments Like These.

FM215 Basket of Strawberries

I know, it's been quiet here.  On top of serious summertime mountain bike training, which has been sorely lacking these couple weeks, we have been purging and selling.  Have you seen this book?

This could be life-changing; we'll see.  I did go through the whole house... well, maybe not the craft room so much.  Let's not get crazy!  And we purged about half our clothes, toys, stuffed animals, and cleaned out a lot of the basement.  I recommend it!  P.S. There is a link to my slight retired items purge under the "Sale" pull-down.

Anywho, onto today's Friday Mashup challenge.  Today Amy brings us a sketch and elements in three.  This challenge will run two weeks due to the July 4th holiday (enjoy!).

My downline brought me her Berry Basket die and made me play with it.  Well, ok, if I have to.  ;)

This weeks Mashup Challenge is:

  • Create a project with "the Sketch"
  • Create a project with " 3 Elements on it"
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project with " the Sketch and 3 elements on it"

FM214 Monochromatic Stencils

It's my turn to host this week's Friday Mashup.  I picked stencils, because I love to get messy with paints and paste, and wouldn't you know that I'm having a bugger of a time creating for my own challenge.  It's always the way...

Cindy Beach over at Fab Friday really inspired me to take out Yee-Haw.  The best monthly photopolymer release we've had, in my opinion.  So fun!

I got a chance to try out my new stencil paste, Glass Glitter Bead Gel by Faber-Castell.  Love it!

This would be a good card for my horsey-lovin' sister, but unfortunately inspiration struck one week too late.  I'll keep it for next year.

This week's Mashup challenge is:

  • Create a project with "stencils"
  • Create a project with "a monochromatic theme"
  • or Mash it Up! and Create a project with " stencils and a monochromatic theme"
Stamps: Yee-Haw; Paper: Tip Top Taupe, Crumb Cake, Whisper White; Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tip Top Taupe, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip marker, Crumb Cake Blendabilities; Accessories: 2013-15 In Color Sequins, Clear EP, Sponge, Stars Decorative Mask, Glass Bead Glitter Gel.
