PCS Sneak Peek: Shore Thing & Convention Swaps #1

PCS Treasure Chest Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, Welcome to the Paper Crafters Sampler blop hop. This month's issue is titled Shore Thing, and this treasure chest template is included in the issue.

If you are following the hop, you have arrived from Kelly's blog. Didn't you love her butterfly version of the chest? I've created a ship chest here, filled with items every ship captain needs.

Necessary ship accessories include a rolled up captain's log, a compass mounted on a chipboard world map, a rolled up length of rope twine, and an anchor covered in Crystal Effects.

The chest hinge was reinforced with Word Window punch-outs.

Technique Tuesday: Emerging Color

Time to share another project from the Technique Class, Emerging Color. For each technique, we make a 6 x 6" technique page and coordinating card. Click on the photo to enlarge.

The big splash image from Extreme Elements is perfect for the Emerging Color technique. Once the images are stamped, and the splash image is clear-embossed, the paper is then brayered with Dusty Durango ink. I glued DSP onto chipboard and pulled out my Serif Essentials die to create the "P". Glue first, then die-cut... lots easier! I'm excited about my new dies (SAB Christmas gift from hubby) and look forward to using them for future decor/notebook/scrapbook projects.

Ribbon Shares!

Good morning, Everyone!

With the new catalog comes lots of new ribbon. It can get pricey to buy spools of ribbon on your own, so let's share them and each get a variety of colors! I am now taking orders for a couple ribbon shares I have put together.

- In Color Ribbon - 3/8" flirty and feminine ruffled ribbon. Five new In Colors (Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder). Receive 2 yards of each color for $11.83.

- New Scallop Dots Ribbon - 1/2" grosgrain with white polka dots ribbon. Ten colors (Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip, Elegant Eggplant, Marina Mist, Melon Mambo, More Mustard, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Tangerine Tango). Receive 2 yards of each color for $18.91.
