Been Camping...

I've been MIA because my mom, daughter, and I have been camping down at Cape May, NJ. We had a great time and great weather!

There are beautiful houses down there. This one looks like Flower Soft in real life.

Beach fun!

Checking out the boardwalk (and buying crap) in Wildwood.

And finally the ATC swap I finished back at the campsite.

This was a nautical swap, and I CASE'd a card I saw on SCS by 'papermoon04'.
Stamps: Compass, Map Background by Rubbernecker; Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla, Kraft; Ink: Close to Cocoa, Basic Black; Accessories: Latin background printed off internet, Game spinners by Tim Holtz, Nautical charms off internet, Jump rings, brads, sponge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamper Bear

Stamper Bear took a trip to the Build-a-Bear workshop store to get dressed. She is ready for some Build-a-Bear events... contact me to schedule yours today! It would be fun to do a Mom and me event!

We could make little coloring books with the Beary Best Friends stamp set

and make paper bear dolls with the Big Shot dies.

So fun! Thanks for stopping by!

A Bit of Stamping Going On

Happy day after Labor Day, Everyone! I actually got out of bed and went swimming this morning - first time in months. I wonder how long that is going to last!?!

My son gave me a notebook, and it had Playstation or some such video games on the cover - well, that just needs to be altered!

I thought Wonderful You and Urban Oasis DSP went well together. For the stamped image, I stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink. Then I inked up with Versamark and then Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink and stamped on vellum. I embossed on the vellum with clear embossing powder. The vellum was attached to the Whisper White cardstock with mini glue dots. This makes a really nice tactile centerpoint to the cover. Much prettier now, I think!

I made this card for my mom's birthday. I got some vintage-type stamps at a stamp fair this summer, and I haven't had a chance to use them. The vintage challenge on SCS was perfect to get me going... The image is stamped on Glossy White cardstock with Black Stazon, which makes it look like an old photo. I tried several different inks and cardstock for this detailed image, and this is the best combination. It is possible to take Stampin' Pastels and "colorize" the photo, if that effect is desired. For actual vintage items, I used lace from my mom and a button from my grandma. All the details for these first two projects are in my SCS gallery.

It was time to create a Summer page for Janneke's baby book. I CASE'd a card from Convention, created by the fabulous Sarah Wills (who was named #2 Rising Star at Convention - Congratulations Sarah!). I couldn't believe how cute it came out IRL! The 3-D effect with the folded tent flaps and dimensional pop-ups make a huge difference. Stamps: Under the Stars, Lovely as a Tree; Paper: Night of Navy, Creamy Caramel, Kraft, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, DSP scraps, Brushed Silver; Ink: Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip, Black Stazon, Close to Cocoa marker; Accessories: Color spritzer tool, Eyelets, Linen thread, Toothpick.

Happy first week back to school, Everyone!!
