The Stamp Review Crew: Christmas Quilt

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This week's hop focuses on the Holiday Catalog bundle, Christmas Quilt, which is set to retire January 2 (hint, hint).  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very talented Ann Schach's blog.  Aren't her projects always beautiful?

This week's Sunday Stamps challenge sketch worked out perfectly for my first card.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Quilt
You can never get enough stitching on a quilt card, I would say.  I put together die-cut blocks from Stitched Shapes framelits for the background.

Here is this week's sketch by Teresa.

Stamps: Christmas Quilt, Thoughtful Banners; Paper: Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Whisper White, Merry Little Christmas DSP; Ink: Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots, White Baker's Twine, Quilt Builder Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot.

These past months, I kept looking at the Christmas Quilt bundle and resisting.  I made a bargain with myself that I was allowed to buy it if I used it on my stamp club and downline cards.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Quilt
The Quilt Builder Framelits create the most perfectly cute notecards!  I put together some clearance rack ribbon samplers to go along with the notecards as Christmas gifts for my group.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Quilt
Stamps: Christmas Quilt; Paper: Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Garden Green, Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Painted Autumn DSP, Merry Little Christmas DSP; Ink: Early Espresso, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Very Vanilla Baker's Twine, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Quilt Builder Framelits, Big Shot.

Hop on over to the fabulous Kelly Kent's blog to see what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Those stitched squares are perfect with this bundle and what a great idea to add the pine boughs. You put this set to great use after resisting it!
