The Stamp Review Crew: Colorful Seasons

Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Inspiring you one stamp set at a time

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  Since we are at the beginning of the new annual catalog (yay!), we get to look at new goodies, Colorful Seasons. This set coordinates with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  If you are following the hop in order, you have just arrived from the fabulous Ann Schach's blog.

This is one of the stamp sets I utilized at my New Catalog Launch party.  I love this time of year, to get to play with new In Colors and stamp sets, but also a good time for some quick and easy cards!

Stampin' Up Colorful Seasons
The flowers were die-cut out of Watercolor Paper, and then a quick watercolor wash from center to edge with Berry Burst ink.  This card uses Freshly Made Sketches #289, created by our fellow Crew member, Linda Callahan (Hey Linda!).

Stamps: Colorful Seasons; Paper: Early Espresso, Whisper White, Color Theory DSP, Watercolor Paper; Ink: Berry Burst; Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Big Shot.

And today starts a new Sunday Stamps challenge, so I took the opportunity to combined Colorful Seasons with this week's sketch.

OMG Heidi! As always, these are stunning. Love the simple wash of color on the die cut flowers, and the scene that you created on the beachy card.

These are both gorgeous! I love the ombre backgrounds on both, plus the creative way you combined different die sets to make that awesome beach scene! I haven't been to the beach is soooo long, you make me want to go there right now!

Beautiful cards. The first one is so simple, but so incredibly gorgeous. Your beach scene on the second, makes me long for summer. TFS.
