The Stamp Review Crew: Cool Treats

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  We're playing with another Occasions set, Cool Treats, and coordinating Frozen Treats framelits.  If you are following the blog hop order, you have just come from the very talented Betty Traciak's blog -- I just love her style!

Thank goodness for these Stamp Review Crew hops, which force me to get my stamps out and use them!  This is the first time I'm inking up this set that I have had since November.  *hanging head in shame*

I thought the splatter background from Playful Palette DSP would be a fun complement to the set.  I loosely followed the sketch from Fab Friday #109.  Actual popsicle sticks add a nice dimensional element to the card.

Stamps: Cool Treats; Paper: Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White, Playful Palette DSP; Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Memento Tuxedo Black, Whisper White Craft; Accessories: Playful Palette Washi Tape, Popsicle Sticks.

For stamp club options, I put together another color combination with this layout.

Up next is the fabulous Nikki Spencer.  Let's check out what fun projects she has put together with this week's set.

Such sweet card! The little drips are an adorable touch. We still laugh about an incident we had when our daughter was on my husband's shoulders eating an ice cream bar. His shirt looked like the DSP!

Well, I am glad to see you are putting this set to good use, finally ;) Cuz you are such a stamping slacker... not!! And how come you keep making that horrible DSP look so good?! I might actually have to use that stuff, since I have had it since the beginning of the current catalog.. now who is hanging her head in shame, lol.
