FM224 Gone Fishin'

This week Cynthia hosts the Friday Mashup challenge with colors and "boy" hobbies (fishing, hunting, etc.).  The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.  Not to pick on boys... girls can spend an awful lot on sewing machines, bicycles, stamps...  :)

So Mom's birthday is coming up (don't look, Mom!), and her goal for this year's Canada vacation was to go fishing.  Quite some time ago, Melanie at Pockets of Inspiration provided a template for a fish card that I've had in my mind to try.

I did a lot of sponging to get a mixture of the challenge colors and stamped the fish is the splatter image from Gorgeous Grunge.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:

  • Create a project with shades of Marina, Wasabi & Espresso.
  • Create a project with a Hunting or Fishing theme.
  • or Mash it Up! and create a Hunting or Fishing project with the colors above.
Stamps: Silhouettes & Script, Gorgeous Grunge, Netting BG; Paper: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, Very Vanilla; Ink: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Early Espresso marker; Accessories: Very Vanilla thick baker's twine, Crystal Effects, 1/2" Circle punch, 1/4" Circle punch, MS Grass punch, Sponges.
