The Stamp Review Crew: Sheltering Tree

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This time we are hopping along with a popular set from the Occasions catalog, Sheltering Tree.  If you are hopping around in a circle, you have just come from Nancy Smith's blog.  She always has such fun projects!

Focusing on the bike image, I came up with this card.

I created a stencil with a window sheet on my e-cutter and sponged the background.  I may have gotten a little carried away with the splattering.

Stamps: Sheltering Tree; Paper: Whisper White, Stacked with Love DSP; Ink: Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar, Basic Gray, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Basic Black baker's twine, Window sheet, Aquapainter, Sponges, e-cutter.

Now make sure you check out the next stop to see what beauties Yapha Mason has put together for us with this week's stamp set.

In case you missed it, here's a card I made in the past with Sheltering Tree.

Love the scene you created! The brick wall is terrific......perfect for that sweet bike to lean against!

Great cards! I love how you focused just on the bike in the first one. Reminds me we should always take a second look at our stamp sets to find new ways to use them.

Heidi, this stamp set could have been designed with you in mind! It is fun that as we get to know each other through stamping we can see certain sets know just who would love it!

Perfectly you Heidi! I love the brick wall. I may have to go make my own stencil and try this myself :)
The wintery bike is "cool" too! Now, I would imagine your hands would freeze to the handlebars if you tried to ride it like that ;)Kidding. I actually see people riding their bikes in Bemdji even when it is below zero.

I was hoping you would create a card with the bike image! It is fabulous - makes me wish we had a brick wall background stamp!

Such an awesome card! Makes me wish Stampin' Up! had a brick wall stamp. Might have to go and get an e-cutter just to do that. It's amazing! Love the way you used the flower 'heads' in the path. Love the way you thought outside the box for this one. Very clever!

Wow, making your own mask with an e-cutter, now that is clever. Love the scene you have created.
