The Stamp Review Crew: Summer Silhouettes

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  Today will share ideas with the floral set Summer Silhouettes.  If you are hopping around in a circle, you have just come from Tanya's blog.  Tanya, our fearless leader, has such a fun style!

First up, a quick and easy birthday card with this fun floral set.

I have to apologize; I whipped this card together for a friend before leaving for vacation, and a couple of retired accessories snuck in.  Short on time, I'll have to stick with it.  This uses Freshly Made Sketches #138 and Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge #187.

I love this new thick baker's twine, but it is a bugger to get through smaller button holes.

Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, Itty Bitty Banners; Paper: Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White; Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush; Accessories: Strawberry Slush baker's twine, Blushing Bride ribbon, Button, Corner Rounder punch, Stylish Stripes EF, Bitty Banner framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

Next is a card we will be making for club this week, which is also good for this week's Friday Mashup challenge (watercolor wash with minimal layers).

Here I applied a watercolor wash a couple times to the background, drying completely after each application.  After inking up the leaf stamp, I spritzed it with water before stamping.  The Queen Anne's lace was straight stamping.  I followed the current color challenge from Sunday Stamps.

Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, And Many More; Paper: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Watercolor paper; Ink: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: White baker's twine, Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch, Watercolor brush, Water spritzer.

Make sure you check out the next stop to see what creative and fun goodies Lisa Young put together with the set.

this is one of my favorite sets. I use the leaves all the leaves all the time and the mosaic BG is a fun one and easy to line up multiple times. Your cards are pretty Heidi

Two great ideas using this set. Interesting to see how the same images can show different styles by what is done with them. The flowers that are so bright and fun on the first card are so soft and peaceful when combined with watercolor. TFS!
