The Stamp Review Crew: Everything Eleanor

Welcome to another Stamp Crew Review Blog Hop!  We share our take on a selected stamp set every first and third Monday.  This time we are hopping along with a classic and versatile stamp set, applicable to many occasions, Everything Eleanor.  If you are hopping around in a circle, you have just come from Holly's blog.  Holly has such a lovely vintage and earthy style!

While pondering new techniques for this set, I thought I would give watercoloring a try.  This was homework from a recent online watercoloring class.  It's a risk to try a new technique for a blog hop, but heck, gotta stick your neck out sometime.

I don't know if I like it or hate it.  One has to embrace the mess, huh?  I think it is starting to grow on me.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Endless Birthday Wishes; Paper: Very Vanilla, Watercolor paper; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Twist, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Tuxedo Black Memento; Accessories: Aquapainter.

We will be attending my brother-in-law's wedding in Serbia in a couple weeks.  Hopefully the newlyweds are not looking right now.  Everything Eleanor is a perfect set for a formal occasion.

Clean, simple, elegant.  I dressed up the stamping with some clear heat embossing and Crystal Effects on the flower stamen.  This card uses Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch #160.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Bravo; Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White; Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Versamark; Accessories: Linen thread, Clear embossing powder, Crystal Effects, Sponge.

Now make sure you check out the next stop to see what lovelies the fabulous Wendy Weixler has put together with Everything Eleanor

That second card is lovely, but your watercolor card is spectacular! How brave of you to try something new -- and it totally paid off! Gorgeous!

My eyes almost popped out of my head at the first card… amazing! And such an original take on this set, too. WTG! The second card is gorgeous in it's simplicity; would look lovely as a wedding invite or thank you.

Beautiful watercolor card-- love the simple sentiment to set off the abstract design. The wedding card is lovely especially like how the loop of twine contrasts with the elegant flourish.

Both cards are beautiful in different ways. Love that about stamping! The watercolor card is so artsy and my kind of card. The other card is has such classy lines to it. Perfect for a wedding.
