MDSM54 Cupcake-Shaped Card

Another Monday, another MDS Monday challenge.  This week Tara is giving us a card sketch challenge.

Along with the sketch is the incentive to use the "align" feature of the software, particularly the "space evenly" tool.

Here you can where it is located on the MDS program screen.  With 3 or more items selected, you will want to align all the items to the "top", and then choose "space evenly".  I use align on nearly every project, and I encourage you to find this little tool and give it a try.  That being said, I didn't use it here.  Heehee.

There have been a couple shaped cards posted on mydigitalstudio.net, including one by design teammate Tami.  I've had several requests for an e-cutter class (combined with My Digital Studio), so while prepping for class, I thought the sketch might look like a cupcake, don't you think?

Here's how I adapted the sketch to a shaped card.  Nothing too fancy on the assembly front... quick and dirty for class since the focus will be on the software programs and cutting.  I did crimp the cupcake bottom, although not too obvious in the photo.

Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit, Chocolate Chip, Sweet Sorbet DSP; Accessories: Banner punch, Crimper, Decorative Dots EF, Big Shot, e-cutter, Sewing machine, Thread; MDS Elements: Cupcake punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am just loving all your e-cutter cards and projects lately! This cupcake card is just so sweet. I got a silhouette for Christmas but I haven't got the hang of it yet. I wish you lived near by!
