Leadership Day 1

I've been saving this story for a few days.  I was scheduled to visit my sister in Denver before traveling to Houston for Leadership.  My flight on Saturday was canceled, rescheduled for Sunday.  While pre-boarding announcements are proceeding on Sunday, my flight was abruptly canceled.  As the weather was going to continue to deteriorate, I told hubby not to come back to LaGuardia to pick me up.  Took me 3 hours to get home via bus, subway, Metro North.  Planes, trains, automobiles...  I can happily say I made it to Houston without incident on Tuesday, thank God!

K, so we had a free day to explore on Wednesday.  I took in a run along the river.  They are doing construction along the path, and I think it will look AWE-some when it is finished!

I think Heisenberg might be here...

So here's the bag, along with our booklet and the journal I designed for my roomies.  I am so pleased with how well the journal matches!  And look close.  Can you see the little chevron pattern embossed into the bottom of the bag?

And the inside of the bag - cute!  The pattern is similar to that used for the MDS photobook in the main catalog (Travel Log kit, pg. 199).

Check out all the fun arrows and chevrons on Main Stage.

Some announcements from main stage -
  • Blendabilities alcohol-based markers will be coming(!), along with Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the first quarter
  • Next photopolymer stamp set will be Sands & Stripes, a trendy alphabet stamp set.  The kind with the hole in the middle of the letter filled in (like A, P, D, etc.).  You know the kind I mean.
  • New circular style personalized stamp sets are coming (initial in the middle with text around it)
  • Stampin' Up will start producing their own photopolymer by mid-year, and the stamps will then come in our standard DVD cases
  • Sign up for Paper Pumpkin by February 10, and receive the 2012-2014 markers in your Welcome Kit.  I got a peek at Jan, Feb, and March's kit.  They are cute!!!  They are going to beef up the kits a bit more, without a price change, for a better value.
Some of the new Blendabilities colors -

Sorry for this blurry photo.  Here you can see some blending examples they were showing at the Product Booth.

And an all-attendee, Leadership only give-away stamp set -

Phew!  Quite a first day.  Thanks for stopping by!
