MDSM29 Salon Time!

It's Beth's turn to give us an MDS Monday sketch challenge.

In addition, we should use some frames from our arsenal (use the global search option).

I'm on an In Color kick right now, so I thought I would challenge myself with the color combo of Strawberry Slush and Smoky Slate.  I grabbed my favorite grungy frames from Downtown Grunge.  The Smoky Slate patterned paper was created by using solid Smoky Slate card stock and overlaying Back to School dot background in Basic Gray, reduced opacity.  I wanted to create my own pattern for the large heart, so I pulled in, on a separate page, Pink Pirouette card stock and overlaid Decorative Overlays argyle background in Strawberry Slush.  Export that page as a jpeg and pull into the heart punch as a photo.  The satin ribbon fish tail ends were created using the crop shape technique.

MDS Elements: Stamps: Earth Laughs, Back to School dot overlay, Decorative Overlays argyle; Paper: Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla textured, Blushing Bride polka dots; Accessories: Downtown Grunge frame, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, Basic rhinestone, Mis-Stitched; Font: CD Odie.

Thanks for stopping by!
