FM97 Markering a Downline Shoebox Swap

This card is just giving me all sorts of fits.  It just does not want to be made.  I have been trying to use this color combo with this stamp set for weeks now.  I've restamped this panel five times already today... argh!  Ever have a card that just doesn't want to be made?

Today on the Friday Mashup, we are using markers for our project.  I was already suffering through markering this chevron stamp for my downline meeting shoebox swap, so I might as well add some texture and call it a mashup.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project with your "Markers (thumping, color spritzing, coloring, etc.)".
  2. Or Make a project featuring "Texture".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with "Texture using your Markers".

I used the Color Spritzer Tool to spritz the background with Wisteria Wonder.  Once I was finally satisfied with the stamping, I ran it through the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder for some wide-spaced texture, and done!

This card is based on a sketch from Unscripted Sketches

and an old inspiration photo from Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenges.

Stamps: Oh, Hello; Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla, First Edition DSP, Tea for Two DSP; Ink: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron marker, Wisteria Wonder marker; Accessories: Wisteria Wonder baker's twine, Color Spritzer Tool, Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch, Perfect Polka Dot EF, Big Shot.

Thanks for stopping by!

I think this card came out great Heidi, I really love the embossing, it sets everything off wonderfully.

Fabulous colour combination and lovely design. The texture is perfect - not too much, but enough to add a little something extra.

Yup, been there, and it certainly zaps the fun out of making your card until it is over, and then you look at the end result, such as this gorgeous card, and you think, yeah it was worth it!

This is so pretty! I love all the patterns that you’ve added under your polka dot texture. The layered banners look fabulous too!
